The Columbia Land Conservancy stewards 433 acres at Hand Hollow Conservation Area, protecting diverse habitats of forest, meadow, ponds, and wetland. Visitors can explore trails that wind past beaver ponds, two lakes, flowing creeks, wet meadows, and a shaded hemlock ravine. This mix of landscapes makes the area an excellent stopover for migrant songbirds and a haven for resident species alike.📍 Meeting location & time:
We’ll gather at 8:00 AM in the parking lot. From the intersection of Routes 22 and 20 in New Lebanon, take US-20 west for 4.5 miles to County Route 9. Turn south on CR-9 and continue 1.2 miles. The entrance to the parking lot is on the right, just past the pond, across from the farmhouse.

Shared here are photos by Cynthia Edwardson, showing club members intently scanning for fall migrants. A highlight of the outing was a brilliant Blackburnian Warbler, captured in a photo by Chris Edwardson
