Is it for me?
If you are interested in learning a useful skill that will help you cope with stress and the challenges of everyday life, the worries of today's world (pandemic, inflation, war...) and uncertainty of tomorrow (what's next?) then mindfulness can be for you. If you feel you need support in helping you improve your mental health and well-being and allow you to live a happier life... then this mindfulness course might be for you ?.
What is MBSR?
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a blend of meditation, mind & body awareness, breath work and mindful yoga. During the course the participants learn to be more in the present moment and cultivate inner peace and find out how our bodies handle (and can resolve) stress neurologically ?. The MBSR course offers you a lot of practice, good support from the group and the teacher, time for your own reflection and a bit of theory - all really well-balanced. The MBSR has strict standards of practice and is taught all around the world by certified teachers.

Is an MBSR course a therapy?
No, it is not as I'm not a certified therapist/psychologist. Mindfulness, yoga or other spiritual practices are not therapy and they shouldn't replace it. But mindfulness is a healing approach that combines the elements of talk therapy and group therapy - through our own experience and of others we can learn and thrive. Often, self-awareness of your body and mind that you learn throughout the course can be the missing puzzle in your life.
How long is the course?
The MBSR course is designed as an 8-week course with weekly Monday meetings and the Mindful Day:
Weekly meetings on: Mondays 18:30-21:00
#1: 6th May (first session 18:30-21:30)
#2: 13th May
#3: 20th May
#4: 27th May
#5: 3rd June
#6: 10th June
Mindful Silent Day: Saturday 15th June, 14:00-21:00

#8: 24th June (last session 18:30-21:30)
Who teaches the course?
Magda Grygolec. I'm a certified mindfulness for kids (Youth Mindfulness, Bristol, UK) and MBSR teacher (Polski Instytut Mindfulness Polim and the Institute for Mindfulness Based Approaches, IMA). I spent a quality of my adult life in the UK studying languages & working in education. Currently, I'm at the "Relaxation and Yoga" postgraduate university programme. I'm a happy mum based in Warsaw.

How many people are in the group?
The minimum number is 6 and maximum for this group is 10 participants. The group usually consists of people with different nationalities and experiences that adds to the lovely vibe we create together.
How much is it?
This course costs 1450pln (Early Bird offer - 1350pln for bookings by the 12th April).
It includes the interview with a participant, 8 meetings (each lasts 2,5 hours, but 1st and 8th meetings are around 3 hours, the Mindful Silent Day (say, what?), online materials, MBSR student handbook and all audios for the home practice. Each participants receives a certificate of completion/attendence and a goodie bag.
You can pay the course fee in two (740pln each) or three installments (500pln each).
The hot and cold beverages, snacks for the Silent Day, all equipment - cushions, mats and blankets are in the studio. So all you need to do is turn up at the meetings ?.
What meditation/mindfulness experience do I need?
None. The course is designed for both beginners and people who have practised mindfulness before, but may need support from a teacher and a group. Being surrounded by like minded and supportive people boosts our motivation and generates good energy ?
What do I need to take this course?
I will not lie to you - you need time to commit for regular sessions (weekly meetings, Mindful Day) and in-between for your home practice (around 30-45 mins per day depending on the week). You also need some quiet spot at home where you will not be disturbed.
