🌲Sprout & Spark: Forest Tools, Wildcraft & Nature Skills 🌲🔥
The living classroom at Salt Life Permaculture invites learners into an afternoon of hands-on making, exploration, and outdoor skills. This Sprout & Spark session blends art, ecology, photography, and stewardship through immersive, real-world learning.
🎨 This Week’s Theme:
Forest Makers & Nature Navigators
During this session, learners will:
✅ Design and embellish their own forest walking stick, attaching a working compass
✅ Create native seed bombs to support future habitat restoration
✅ Take wildlife and forest photos, then print images to take home
✅ Build a living topiary houseplant using invasive species carefully removed from forest areas threatening live oak trees
✅ Gain a woodshop experience by making a wooden wall hook for keys or hanging treasures
✅ Practice navigation, observation, tool safety, and environmental stewardship
🥖 Food Forest Snack:
Campfire breadsticks, prepared together over an open fire
📅 When: Fridays
⏰ Time: 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM (2.5-hour session)
