After an off-season of expectation, Adelaide’s season already goes on the line to open Gather Round, hosting a red-hot Melbourne.

The Crows (0-3, 73.3%) were the AFL’s most popular pick to rise from the bottom 10 into the top eight, but a winless start has them desperate to get on the board. And with a trip to face Carlton next week losing, they can’t afford to wait much longer.

The Demons (3-1, 130.7%) meanwhile have recovered brilliantly from their Opening Round loss with three consecutive victories, including last week’s upset of Port Adelaide also at Adelaide Oval. It continued their trend of historic excellence at the venue, having won 10 of their last 14 games there.
