LLELA (Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area) is a 2,600-acre nature preserve in Denton County, Texas, featuring prairies, forests, and wetlands along the Elm Fork of the Trinity River, offering hiking, camping, birding, and paddling. Managed by a partnership including the City of Lewisville and the University of North Texas, it provides educational opportunities and a chance to see diverse wildlife like deer, bobcats, and over 270 bird species. Activities include hiking over 7 miles of trails, primitive camping, fishing, and kayaking, with a $5 per vehicle entry fee.
