Celebrate Valentine’s Day with East Coast Hikers on a beautiful sunset beach hike along the Chesapeake Bay! Whether you’re coming with a partner, friends, or flying solo, everyone is welcome for an evening of fresh air, great company, and one of the best sunsets in Hampton Roads.
We’ll take a short natural trail to the beach before enjoying a relaxing walk along the shoreline. This easy hike features wide-open water views, soft sand, and an unforgettable Valentine’s Day sunset.

🚗 Drive from Virginia Beach: About 1 hour.
🅿️ Parking: Free street parking is available along State Park Drive. Parking is limited, so please arrive 15–20 minutes early.

* 🌊 Terrain: Mostly flat sandy beach with a short natural trail leading to the shoreline
* 😊 Difficulty: Easy
* 🚶 Pace: Casual social pace
🐕 Leashed dogs are welcome.
🚻 There are no restrooms at the preserve, so please plan accordingly.
