He is a multi-instrumentalist, mainly performing on the charango, Andean flutes, and guitar. As a producer, he leads Ardilla Producciones and focuses his work on acoustic instruments, natural sounds, and ethnic textures approached from a creative and innovative perspective. Daniel studied at the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas (Colombia), where he promoted the inclusion of the Charango Performance emphasis and graduated as the first professional charango player in the country.
✨Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous international festivals such as the III Charango Festival of Lake Titicaca in Puno, Peru; the International Charango Festival in Cusco, Peru; The House of Blues in Chicago, USA; the Tawa Medicine Music Festival in Pisac, Peru; and the Raíces Bogotá Andina Festival in Bogotá, Colombia. To date, Daniel has released two albums: El fin del mundo and Adentro, both available on all streaming platforms.
🎶Concert:
During the concert, I’ll take you on a journey through my musical path, telling my story through songs. This sonic trip goes from my beginnings with Andean flutes, through my work as a charango player, continuing with my new evolution as a singer-songwriter, and other surprises along the way.
The focus will be on how each song was born and its connection to the moments that inspired it.
We’ll also have two special guests,Trang Vinh y Monique Mizrahi, with whom I’ll be sharing some songs.
🎵Workshop:
The workshop is designed to approach the charango from a very artistic perspective. We’ll explore different ways to express ourselves through the instrument and discover our own sound — our personal voice on the charango.
🍃It’s open to all levels; the only requirements are to bring your charango and a desire to explore, improvise, and create.
If you don’t have the instrument, you can also rent one that day.
