Our Story
The Brave Foundation was born from our family’s journey through the NICU. Our son Brave entered the world four months early, weighing just one pound, and spent nearly a year in the NICU undergoing countless procedures and life-saving care. Just days after bringing him home, we learned we were expecting again—and soon welcomed our daughter, also born prematurely, into another long NICU stay.
Through those 517 days between both of our children, we experienced the fear, the uncertainty, and the emotional weight that NICU families carry every single day. But we also experienced something powerful—support, community, and the moments that gave us the strength to keep going.
That is why The Brave Foundation exists.
This fundraiser helps us continue delivering Brave Boxes and resources to NICU families—offering not just practical support, but hope, encouragement, and a reminder that they are not alone in their journey.
