🏐 ☯️ Yin & Yang is coming to Woodlands Backyard on September 12th! 🏐
Alternate between REVCO 4s and Coed 4s throughout the day and experience two completely different styles of volleyball in one tournament. Adapt, adjust, and embrace both sides of the game as you compete for the top spot!

Disposable is an app that gives each person 10 pictures to capture the tournament from their perspective! A slideshow of the photos will be displayed during the event and shared afterward so everyone can relive the best moments from the day.

⏰ Check-In Time: 10:00 AM
🏐 Balls Up: 10:30 AM
Schedules will be posted online before the start of the tournament.
If a teammate isn't present at the start, you may pick up a substitute with the opposing team's approval. Delays may result in shorter games.
No substitutions will be allowed during bracket play unless an injury occurs and both teams agree.
⏳ Expected End Time: 4:00–5:00 PM if you make it to the finals.
💵 Entry Fee: $100 per team

Full teams may pay after signing up.
🟢 Registration Information:
32 Teams (2 Guys & 2 Girls Only)
• Team sign-ups must include 2 guys and 2 girls.
• Pair sign-ups must consist of 1 guy and 1 girl.
• Eight team spots will initially be reserved for pair sign-ups, although that number may be adjusted based on demand.
Players who register as pairs will be matched with another pair and added to a group chat on the Friday before the tournament.
🏐 Tournament Format:
You'll alternate between REVCO 4s and Coed 4s throughout the day.
✅ Pool Play
• 4 guaranteed games
• 1 set to 21
• Win by 2
• Cap at 25
Format may be adjusted based on the number of sign-ups.
🎖️ Single-Elimination Tournament
Every team will advance to a single-elimination bracket after pool play.
Match lengths and scoring may be adjusted throughout bracket play to ensure the tournament stays on schedule.
🔊 All teams must report match scores and point differentials after every game, whether you win or lose.
🏆 Prizes:
• 1st and 2nd in the upper bracket
• 1st in the lower bracket
Payout amounts will be determined by the number of sign-ups.
🚫 No outside alcohol is permitted at Woodlands Backyard.
☯️ Rules & Expectations
Coed 4s
• Players may stay in set positions on the court but must rotate servers after a side-out.
• No restrictions on who you can serve.
• Directional blocking is allowed.
• Blocks don't count as a touch.
• Open-hand receive is allowed if it is received and released without error or if it is a hard-driven attack.
• Setting over is allowed if clean and perpendicular to the body.
• Accidental set-overs are allowed if the intention was clearly for a teammate.
• Doubles will be called at a BB level (1–1.5 spins).
• No lifts, carries, or open-hand tips.
• No foot faults or touching the net.
• Players may cross into the opposing team's space as long as it doesn't impede play.
REVCO 4s
• No restrictions on who you can serve.
• Directional blocking is allowed.
• Blocks don't count as a touch.
• Guys may only block another guy's attack.
• Guys may not block an attack from a girl.
• Girls may block any attack.
• Guys attacking inside the 10-foot line must attack with an upward trajectory.
• Guys may attack without restrictions from behind the 10-foot line.
• Girls may attack without restrictions from anywhere on the court.
• Players may remain in set positions but must rotate servers after a side-out.
