When DT David Thomas and Robyn Alexander started singing together last year, with complimentary voices and personalities that work well together, the duo was an immediate hit. Described as “exciting and slick” performing their favourite classics from the 70’s, 80’s and today, they have been in constant demand ever since, either as a duo or with their band DT & The Red Jetz.
But while their partnership may be relatively new, both are very experienced professional entertainers. David, a singer, songwriter, pianist, and producer, has performed on many different stages and events throughout New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific, both as a solo artist and in other groups, including the New Zealand Eagles tribute show. He’s also toured with many well-known international and local artists such as Renee Geyer, Gerry Marsden and the Late Sir Howard Morrison, and released multiple instrumental compositions online.
His singing partner, Robyn, also a songwriter, has performed as a solo artist and fronted several successful corporate bands throughout New Zealand. Among many career highlights have been promoting and performing in the Highway of Legends 2008 tour, touring with New Zealand country music legend Peter Caulton, solo appearances in Australia and Germany, releasing two albums of her original music, and getting to work with some of the world’s music legends like Kenny Rogers and The Hollies through her concert promotions business. She’s even performed on stage with the great Roberta Flack.
