‘The war that touches everyone’
Poetry readings by director and writer Maria Starozhytska (in Ukrainian and English)
In the programme:
- Poems on the 11th anniversary of the war: how volunteers were the first to defend Ukraine;
- Full-scale invasion: personal poetic impressions;
- Kyiv 2025, everything you want to know about its days and nights.
The evening on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine is dedicated to Dominic Abelen, Andrew Benshaw, Kane Te Tai and Shan Le Cairns, New Zealanders who died defending Ukraine from the Russian aggressor.
Location: Waitematā Room ( TE MATAWAI BUILDING, but it is not in a residential area, please enter the next door after the main entrance/reception, further by the road near the dairy shop)Please enter between 15:00 and 15:15, otherwise you won't be able to enter the building.
