Attend a talk and training day with Jess Hill based on her award winning book on domestic violence and coercive control.
Clinicians will get an in depth understanding of nature of domestic abuse, the precipitating and perpetuating factors from both the victim and perpetrators perspectives, the impact on the victims sense of self, the dangers/warning signs to look out for, and the key difficulties to consider and be mindful of when working within this space.
In this workshop we will explore the key questions pertaining to Domestic Abuse (of which violence is a subset) and Coercive Control drawing upon the research literature, case-study, and shared workshop discussion.
