🌿 Join Coastal Waste Warriors & Peel Harvey Catchment Council for the Wetlands Weekender Mini Festival! 🌿We’re teaming up for the ‘Pave the Way’ Clean Up along the beautiful Coodanup Foreshore on Saturday 11th October 9:30am–11:00am.
This annual event celebrates the return of migratory shorebirds to the Peel-Yalgorup Wetland System where they’ll spend the summer to feed before flying thousands of kilometres back to the Northern Hemisphere to breed. It’s a chance to raise awareness and take action to protect the habitats these incredible birds rely on.
A few things to remember for this event:
✅ Clean up starts at 9:30am sharp. Sign in at 9:15am.
✅ Dress for the weather
✅ Wear enclosed shoes for safety

🐦 FAST FACT: The Red-necked Stint is the tiniest of Australia’s 37 migratory shorebirds - lighter than a Tim Tam! Yet these feathered marvels travel up to 25,000 km each year between Australia and breeding grounds in Siberia and Alaska. Nature never ceases to amaze!
Let’s celebrate, connect and clean up the waterways for the migratory shorebirds together.
See you there!
