‘Choir of Catharsis’: Christmas Screening & Scratch Night

This immersive evening blends film, performance, conversation and connection, centered around the screening of our short film Choir of Catharsis directed by Chiara Lari and Joséphine-Fransilja! The event explores the transformative power of Black womanhood, rage and release, moving from pain into presence and from silence into sound.

The night features powerful live performances, a screening of the short film, and an open conversation with the artists. We’ll finish with a festive mixer to the sounds of a DJ set and plenty of mince pies to go around!

All ticket sales will support the film’s distribution and festival submissions. We’ll also be raising funds for Sistah Space, a vital charity supporting African and Caribbean heritage women affected by domestic abuse, so please bring cash if you’d like to donate on the night.

This event honors the strength and stories of Black women, transforming pain into presence, rage into release and voice into power. Through community comes liberation ❤️‍?
