Time: 4:30 P.M. – 11:00 P.M.
Experience: Full access to the afternoon sun, golden hour sunset, and twilight/dusk sessions.
HALF DAY MEETUP PASS: $150
Session 1 (Sunset Focus): 4:30 P.M. – 7:30 P.M.
Session 2 (Dusk & Drama Focus): 7:30 P.M. – 11:00 P.M.

Calling all Ottawa photographers, creators, and hobbyists!
Whether you’re a seasoned professional looking to add high-end editorial content to your portfolio, a hobbyist wanting to practice portraiture, or a beginner eager to learn on a live set, this meetup is for you.
On July 11th, Ottawa Fashion Week is hosting an outdoor photography meetup at Britannia Beach from 4:30 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. We are bringing out three of the longest, most dramatic flying dresses available—the kind usually reserved for elite fashion magazines—and matching them with at least six beautiful, diverse models.
This is a collaborative, open-access community space. Come network, swap tips with fellow creatives, and walk away with one-of-a-kind shots!
Meetup Highlights
Exclusive Fashion Assets: Shoot premium, ultra-long flying dresses that create massive, dramatic movement in camera. These are unique garments you won't find anywhere else!
Diverse Model Roster: Work with at least six incredible models of various backgrounds and sizes, all ready to pose and bring the fabric to life.
Golden Hour to Dusk: Our schedule spans late afternoon, the ultimate beach sunset, and dramatic twilight—giving you a massive variety of lighting styles in a single day.
Full Commercial Access: Every single photo you take is yours to keep, share, post, print, or publish commercially with zero restrictions.
On-Site Hands-On Assistance
Don't worry if you’ve never shot moving fabric or a beach look before! This meetup includes an active on-site production crew. We are there to help you get the exact shot you want by:
Moving and throwing the heavy dress fabric to catch the perfect wind flow.
Assisting with model posing and directing if you need a second eye.
Helping you hold your portable lights, diffusers, or reflectors.
What to Bring
Your camera setup (DSLR, Mirrorless, or even a high-end smartphone—all gear levels are welcome!).
Freshly charged batteries and plenty of space on your memory cards.
Portable lighting or reflectors if you plan on shooting past sunset (though plenty of natural light and assistance will be available).
Your creative energy and a passion for networking with the local photography scene!
