தே - Paiyan, A Musical Storytelling show

I'm Gabrial - people adoringly call me Gabby. I was born and brought up in North Madras a.k.a Karupargal nagaram (The city of black-skinned people). This area has the entire universe available within its radius - beach fishes Burmese Atho Railway station Park ponds a salty breeze - oh how do I stop? How will anyone find it in them to leave such a soulful place? My eyes that witnessed only these sights suddenly was revealed that when I was given a spotlight and a mic there's a whole audience holding on to each word as I narrated the tales of my world. Yet I yearned to be different. One day when a stranger lovingly called me a "Thevdiya paiyan" (son of a prostitute) in anger I decided to set out in pursuit for its meaning. And the journey that ensued is what I'm waiting to share with you.
