👏 Създаването на представлението и представянето му на фестивала „Антистатик“ са част от проекта „Mișcări Neautorizate“, съфинансиран от Администрацията на Националния културен фонд на Румъния.
📜 Тялото е несъвършен преводач между вербални, кинестетични и социални системи на знанието, и като такова поражда трети пласт от значение, който не принадлежи изцяло на нито една от тях. В „Смяна на кодове“ Едуард Габия изследва наелектризираното пространство между езика, движението и действието, в което отклоненията, грешките и конфигурациите не са провали — те са самото произведение, пораждащо пространство, в което значението никога не е фиксирано, а непрекъснато се изменя и предоговаря.
Габия разглежда „code-switching" не само като езиков превключвател, а като когнитивен и телесен механизъм: преход между поведенчески регистри, между намерение и изпълнение, между контрол и уязвимост.
✨ Едуард Габия (р. 29 април 1979 г.) е румънски изпълнител, хореограф, композитор и фасилитатор, чиято работа e пресечната точка на танц, музика и изследване. Той е работил с хореографи като Михай Михалча, Чарлс Линехан, Брюняр Бандлиен, Томас Плишке и Катрин Дойферт, Мичикадзу Мацуне и Дейвид Субал, Томас Лемен. Негови авторски произведения - сред които “Fine Tuning Between Me and the Universe in a Black Box”, “my brut material – your performance”, “5 Minutes of My Life, Bonus, My Presence Proof of Time” и “8 Days a Week” - са представени на международни сцени и фестивали като Dance Theater Workshop (Ню Йорк), Tanzquartier Wien, Tanz im August (Берлин), ImpulsTanz (Виена), Kaaitheater (Брюксел), Centre Culturel André Malraux (Нанси) и други. През 2010 г., съвместно с Мария Баронча и Драгана Булут, той създава E.I.O. — спектакъл, удостоен с наградата Prix Jardin d'Europe. През 2011 г. е поканен да създаде “How to Become Invisible” за Festival d'Avignon (Sujets à vif). Сътрудничи си с Борис Шарма в рамките на проекта Dancing Museum, участвайки в изложби в Musée de la danse (Рен) и Argos (Брюксел). Съвместно с Мария Баронча инициира Easy Wednesday (Miercurea lejeră) — отворен формат за пърформанс в реално време, подкрепен от CNDB – Националния център за танц в Букурещ. Габия е режисьор на късометражни филми, играл е в киното, сътрудничил е с Международния ансамбъл „Хиперион" и е композирал музика за множество театрални постановки на режисьора Боби Прикоп. В момента е част от групите Karpov not Kasparov и Kepler not Kopernikus, с които активно гастролира по света.
Международната програма на фестивала за съвременен танц и пърформанс „Антистатик“ 2026 се организира от Фондация „Брейн Стор Проджект” и Сдружение „Номад Денс” с финансовата подкрепа на Министерство на културата, Гьоте-институт България, Столична община – Календар на културните събития, изследователския проект DanceMap, финансиран от програма „Хоризонт Европа“ на Европейския съюз, DANCE ON TOUR Австрия – проект на „Танцквартир“ Виена в сътрудничество с Федералното министерство за европейски и международни въпроси и Администрацията на Националния културен фонд на Румъния, както и в партньорство с РЦСИ „Топлоцентрала”, Народен театър „Иван Вазoв“ и Сцена „Дерида“.

📍 With care and understanding of the different situations our audience members find themselves in, in 2026 Antistatic continues a "pay what you can" pricing policy for all tickets to the events in the festival programme with an entry. Each spectator can choose how much to pay for their ticket from three price categories - 11€, 15€ and 20€.

📜 The body as an imperfect translator - between verbal, kinesthetic, and social systems of knowledge - producing a third layer of meaning that belongs fully to none of them. In CODE-SWITCH, Eduard Gabia explores the charged space between language, movement, and action, "translating" between incompatible systems. Deviations, errors, and reconfigurations are not failures here - they are the work itself, generating a space where meaning is never fixed, but continuously negotiated.
Gabia approaches “code switching” not merely as a linguistic shift, but as a cognitive and embodied mechanism: a transition between behavioral registers, between intention and execution, between control and vulnerability.
✨Eduard Gabia (b. April 29, 1979) is a Romanian performer, choreographer, composer, and facilitator working at the intersection of dance, music, and performative research. He has performed for choreographers such as Mihai Mihalcea, Charles Linehan, Brynjar Bandlien, Thomas Plischke & Kattrin Deufert, Michikazu Matsune & David Subal, and Thomas Lehmen. His own works — including Fine Tuning Between Me and the Universe in a Black Box, my brut material – your performance, 5 Minutes of My Life, Bonus, My Presence Proof of Time, and 8 Days a Week — have been presented internationally at venues and festivals such as Dance Theater Workshop New York, Tanzquartier Wien, Tanz im August (Berlin), ImpulsTanz (Vienna), Kaaitheater (Brussels), Centre Culturel André Malraux (Nancy), and others. In 2010, together with Maria Baroncea and Dragana Bulut, he co-created E.I.O., which was awarded the Prix Jardin d'Europe. In 2011, he was invited to create How to Become Invisible for the Festival d'Avignon (Sujets à vif). He has collaborated with Boris Charmatz as part of the Dancing Museum project, performing in exhibitions at Musée de la danse (Rennes) and Argos (Brussels). With Maria Baroncea, he initiated Easy Wednesday (Miercurea lejeră), an open, real-time performance format supported by CNDB – The National Center for Dance Bucharest. Gabia has directed short films, worked as a film actor, collaborated with the Hyperion International Ensemble, and composed music for numerous theatre productions directed by Bobi Pricop. He is currently a member of the bands Karpov not Kasparov and Kepler not Kopernikus, touring extensively across Europe and beyond.
