Éadaoín Lynch #TDoV Writing Workshop

Join us for a cosy and creative writing workshop with Éadaoín Lynch to mark Trans Day of Visibility.

We invite you to an intimate and very special writing workshop focused around the work of trans writers.

We're looking forward to sharing poems, essays and stories from trans authors as sources for inspiration and discussion before grounded writing time using a selection of curated prompts.

Éadaoín Lynch is an Irish writer & researcher based in Fife. From 2021-22, they were project lead and co-editor of Re·creation: A Queer Poetry Anthology with Alycia Pirmohamed.In 2025, they were one of the TypewrongerWriters-in-Residence, for which they co-wrote the riso zine Remember how you are liberated with Zosia Kuczyńska. As a facilitator, Éadaoín has run creative writing workshops for Porty Pride, Lavender Menace Archive, and conFAB, in partnership with LGBT Youth Scotland.Fierce Scrow, their debut poetry pamphlet, launched in 2022 with Nine Pens Press.

About The Venue We're being hosted by the wonderful Typewronger Books at 4a Haddington Pl., Edinburgh. The shop is located down a flight of eight steps with hand rails. Typewronger recommends to not use the right hand set of rails for support, but the central and left hand rails are free of obstruction and the steps they serve are easier under foot. Should you need help with buggies, mobility aids or bags and suchlike there is a doorbell attached to the red-bordered blackboard facing the street which you can press to summon a bookseller or event organiser! Typewronger does not have a public toilet unfortunately. The nearest public toilet is located in the McDonald Road Library which is about 4 minutes away on foot. The library closes at 8pm.

What To Bring We recommend bringing whatever writing tools you might need in order to participate in writing in response to some curated prompts. Whether you bring a pen and paper, a notebook, or a laptop, make sure you're comfortable with working directly on your lap, as we'll be seated, but without tables. We'll bring some spare paper and writing implements too!
