The green week doesn’t quite end on St. Patrick’s Day at the Rover. Once the dust settles and the pints have had a moment to breathe, we keep the spirit going with a proper musical afterglow. On March 20th and 21st, we’re welcoming Áthas na Saoirse all the way from Prague for two lively nights of Irish folk!This seasoned crew has made a name for themselves bringing the energy of a true pub session to stages across Europe. With fiddle, banjo, bouzouki, whistles and bodhrán in the mix, they roll through jigs, reels and well-loved folk and rebel songs with the kind of drive that turns a room full of listeners into a room full of singers before the night is through.
Think of it as the perfect post-St. Patrick’s gathering — the voices might be a little rough from the 17th, but the tunes keep rolling and the craic carries on. Two nights, plenty of music, and every reason to stay a little longer in the green glow of the week.
