As one of Iceland’s most successful exports, singer-songwriter Ásgeir has spent the time between his record-breaking debut (now celebrating its 10th anniversary) and today pushing the boundaries of his textured, thoughtful brand of folk-pop.Late 2023 saw the release of his long anticipated fourth album ‘Time on my Hands’ via One Little Independent Records. Contemplative and experimental, the album is the result of Ásgeir’s time spent deeply engrossed in his home studio, sensitively layering acoustic elements with electronics and brass, further exploring choral elements of electronic pop music whilst maintaining the spidery, introspective vocals that he has become known for.
