About this Event

Join The New York Public Library for the grand opening of , the Library’s free exhibition that draws largely from the Manuel Martínez Nazario Collection of Puerto Ricans in the World of Comics and explores Puerto Rican life and culture through comics that span the Island and the diaspora, the past and the future.

This celebration will bring together readers, artists, and community members to mark the opening of the exhibition. Get a first look at the show, attend a brief panel with the artists, and find opportunities to connect with others who also share a passion for comics, culture, and storytelling. Light snacks and drinks will be served.

Attendees are also invited to visit the exhibition in the Wachenheim Gallery on the first floor from 3–4 PM before the program begins, or from 6–7 PM following the event.

Please note that, although most of the program will be conducted in English, some panelists may present or respond in Spanish, reflecting the bilingual spirit of the exhibition.
