¡Alegria! A Hispanic Heritage Celebration

The Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library is proud to again host Alegría, a community celebration of Hispanic heritage and history, on Saturday, September 26th, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Main Library.
Alegría, named after the Spanish word for “joy,” will bring the vibrant traditions and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities in Clarksville and Montgomery County to the library.
Families and community members of all ages are invited to join in an afternoon filled with:
•Live performances including Zumba dances and more
•Hispanic businesses offering authentic homemade food, handcrafted goods, and other unique products.
•Dedicated areas across the library highlighting various countries and cultures
•Trivia and bingo games
•Photo booth offering a fun way to “travel” different Hispanic countries
•Hands-on crafts for kids and families
•Clarksville’s largest piñata full of special treats for the children
The goal of Alegria is to bring joy by offering learning opportunities about the diverse community and highlighting some of the many cultural treasures found within Montgomery County.
