(NL) Krekels, kikkers, sprinkhanen en cicaden - insecten en amfibieën die we vooral kennen van hun geluiden. Duizenden exemplaren verschuilen zich in graslanden en moerasgebieden, terwijl wij hooguit een rimpeling in het water of een beweging tussen het gras opvangen. Samen vormen ze een rijk koor van roepen en zang.
Net als vogels vertellen krekels en kikkers ons iets over het tempo van de klimaatverandering, de kwaliteit van ons water en onze bodem, en de staat van de biodiversiteit. Tijdens Dear Antwerp trekt huisartiest Zwerm naar de Hobokense Polder voor Calling Songs. Met kleine experimentele synthesizers en gitaareffectpedalen verweeft Zwerm de roep van lokale dieren tot een tijdelijke compositie die mensen uitnodigt om anders te luisteren naar het levende landschap om hen heen.
Deze voorstelling start met een audiowandeling van 20 minuten.

(EN) In the farmyard of wannabe farmer Louis Vanhaverbeke, the boundary between agriculture and performance blurs. In Tractor Rhapsody, the artist returns to the soil after a period of mental upheaval, seeking grounding in physical labour and the rhythms of the earth. Sowing, harvesting, composting - gestures that make time tangible again.
Through songs, actions, and machines, a vulnerable self-portrait unfolds, balancing between the mind and the deep ground, between ‘acting normal’ and stubbornly continuing to deviate. What begins as an attempt to reconnect with the earth grows into a reflection on labour, recovery, and the desire to follow your own rhythm. On stage, agricultural machines appear as performative partners: their sound, weight, and movement set the pace and shatter the romantic image of rural life.
Tractor Rhapsody is a raw ode to slowness, where grounding is not a lofty concept but a necessary, physical process. In a cycle of loss and renewal, this performance invites the audience to move with the time of the soil, where history, labour, and life continuously intermingle.
