Queen City Zouk is back with our first ever Zouk Workshop! Join us with an intensive 3 hour course with Anya Faruque + 4 hour social. We are also welcoming back Dj Sixx by popular demand. Go ahead and hit "going" for all the updates!INSTRUCTOR:
We are so excited to have Anya Faruque back in the Queen City kicking off our first Zouk Workshop! You may remember this beautiful soul from our first Weekender last October.
Anya Faruque has been a dance educator for 7 plus years with a background in USA Gymnastics. Her passion for zouk began in 2018 and she progressively fell in love with this Brazilian art form through training, dancing and ultimately teaching all of it's avenues. Anya's style of teaching empowers the dancer to move from inside out by incorporating emotions, self expression, and learning to access your goddess/god-like state of flow. While she enjoys choreography and has two ladies styling teams, she believes in concepts over patterns, when it comes to social dancing. This creates a platform of building blocks for the dancer to create within.
Anya is incredibly excited to share tips, drills, and elements with the QCZ community on how to grow your dancing from a "static" state to "meditation" state. You will learn to dance not "at" yet "with" your body, mind, and spirit. Use these techniques in your solo or partner styles of dancing.
In this 3 hour workshop you will be asked to bring your journal, your favorite dancing shoes, and your open heart and mind to learn & embrace your inner goddess/warrior within this beautiful dance called zouk.
SCHEDULE:
Planned Friday night house party only for ticket holders. Details will be sent out directly.

Hour 3 - Togetherness
Workshops will be for all levels.
