Welcome to Zouk Unbound 2025, hosted in Calgary, AB brought to you by Julie Meng, Olivia Lau, and Esther Lam in partnership with ZoukYYC and DLC ✨Our mission is to help you discover empowered expression in the Brazilian Zouk & Lambada genre through thoughtfully curated community spaces. While rooted in technical building blocks and foundations, Zouk Unbound is founded on the premise that expression can only be achieved through experimentation and innovation. Our debut training weekend in Calgary is a 4 day experience uniquely designed to inspire your creativity. Expect the unexpected 🌶️

How Much: $450 CAD with payment plan options up to 6 months & discounted scholarships available; option to add-on specialty workshops at $80 CAD per workshop

Who is Zouk Unbound for?
This training is aimed at dancers who:
🔥 LOVE to social dance, invest regularly / demonstrate comfort in learning & applying Brazilian Zouk foundations, and are eagerly looking for opportunities to level up
💪🏼 Have desire and discipline to train hard in a medium-sized cohort; you are prepared to focus on learning, practicing, and social dancing for 2-3 full days
❤️ Are community-oriented; you want to share your time and growth with others, and you’re willing to be open and vulnerable when called for. Connection - on and off the dance floor - is critical to you
💭 Value reflection and constructive feedback as key inputs to their journey; you trust the process and can be patient with yourself and others around you
⚡️Are excited about exploring abstract concepts: unlocking the ability to experiment with ease, continuously creating novelty, and innovating for yourself. IMPORTANT: You’re not afraid to get weird.

What do I get out of investing in Zouk Unbound?
In 4 days, you will have the opportunity to participate in:
📌 ~12 hours of workshops capped at 30 couples max | Curriculum will include a mix of solo and partner classes balanced between 4 artists & 2 days; each workshop will range from 1.5-2 hours long
📌 Up to 4 hours of strategically interspersed practice time | Instructors will be available for individual feedback, and you are free to train what you learned with other dancers, or take a well-deserved break!
📌 Up to 8 hours of social dancing parties | Goldilocks hours - all parties end at midnight to ensure you are well-rested for training the next day
📌 Option to add 6 hours of specialty workshops with a partner | Choose your own adventure! Sign up with a partner and dive deeper into content in smaller groups
📌 Discounted community events | Join us for welcome drinks and a spa night for a discounted price
