Come build up to Brazilian Zouk patterns through a playful exploratory lens. Instead of memorizing patterns, we'll explore the lead-follow technology that makes those patterns possible: rolling, sliding, pivoting, spiraling, torsion, traveling versus rotating, and the subtle invitations that transform movement into conversation.
Our goal is to move beyond "doing the move" and into understanding the connection that creates it.

We heard your feedback from the original Contact & Comfort workshop. This offering will have a narrower focus, greater depth, clear safety guidelines, and direct application to recognizable Brazilian Zouk movement patterns.
There will also be designated practice zones:
🌊 Contact Improv Zone (near the windows) for floorwork, rolling, and larger level changes.
💃 Zouk Zone (near the door) for standing movement, stepping pathways, and minimal level changes.
Whether you're interested in partner dance, improvisation, connection, or movement mechanics, this workshop is an invitation to explore how small changes in touch, timing, and intention can completely transform a dance.
