Zoning Workshop for Local Officials (Elkhorn, WI)

Tuesday, April 30, 2024 (5:30-8:00 PM)

This workshop will provide the basics of zoning with an overview of the roles and responsibilities of local government officials involved in making zoning decisions. We will take a closer look at:

• permitted and conditional uses
• ordinance amendments
• rezones

We will also discuss the role of the comprehensive plan and how to make legally defensible decisions by applying state and local ordinance standards.

County planning and zoning staff will be on hand to answer questions specific to Walworth County.

• Cities, village, towns and counties
• Members of your plan commission, zoning committee and governing body
• Clerks, administrators, and staff who support zoning
