Join Alex Himelfarb and Jesse Hajer as they discuss how neoliberal policies have driven inequality amidst a climate crisis and economic “polycrisis.” This talk will explore how our views on government, debt, inflation, and taxes affect our capacity to come together and enact meaningful change.This event also doubles as the launch for Breaking Free of Neoliberalism: Canada’s Challenge, exploring why free-market capitalism still dominates and what we can do to address inequality and climate action.

Jesse Hajer: Associate Professor in Economics and Labour Studies at the University of Manitoba and co-editor of Austerity in Manitoba: Public Service in Tough Times.
