Join us for an exhilarating 90-minute workshop with the mesmerizing Pixie Fordtears, a renowned fusion bellydancer and esteemed member of Zoe Jakes Coven Dance Company. This is a unique opportunity to elevate your dance style by mastering the art of dynamics and layering, key elements that create unforgettable impact and drama in your performances.
This dynamic class ends with a mini choreo slathered with gooey movement, crisp attacks, and delicious recoil. You will learn some of Pixie’s signature style from her cross training and how she integrates it into her dance. This practice includes drills with pops and locks to flowing movement.
Whether you're a seasoned performer or a passionate beginner, this workshop promises to infuse your dance with new levels of expression and intensity. Don't miss the chance to learn from one of the industry's finest and take your bellydancing to dazzling new heights.

Join Zoe Jakes for an exhilarating 90-minute shimmy-shake-a-thon. Let your hips take the lead with this non-stop shimmy show!
We will work on huge hips and articulation of movement, while exploring lots of different styles of shimmies and give you new ways of doing them. So, whether you are new to Belly Dance, or looking for something to add to your repertoire, this is the workshop for you. It’s all here, 3/4 shimmies, 4/4 shimmies, sharp and smooth shimmies, traveling shimmies, layered shimmies, timed shimmies, and non-timed shimmies...WHEW! So... let’s dance! All levels welcome.

SUNDAY: FIRE IN THE BELLY WITH ZOE JAKES

Join world-renowned dancer Zoe Jakes on a 3 hour journey to explore a choreography wrapped in undulations, spirals, and diagonal extension.
A choreography to wake up the spine. Undulations, flutters, and diagonal extensions all with the purpose of making transitions disappear. Fluid and sleek lines mix with the circular and infinite shapes of belly dance, with dynamic splashes along the way. Using breath and the negative space around us, we will be chasing movement through the entire body and back again. The technique behind Zoe’s style of undulations and interior circles will be broken down for this 3 hr workshop, as well as a vigorous warm-up to prepare for full-body expansive movement. All levels welcome.
