About this Event

Start a new project or bring something you are working on. All materials are provided and no experience necessary. Our booktore will allow use of our used magazines as well as a wealth of other material for free. Recommended for teens and adults.

This workshop is led by local art teacher, author, and artist Micah Maté from Modesto, California.

Micah Maté grew up in California, drawing cartoons and comics. Since graduating from California State University, Stanislaus with a Bachelors degree in Art, he has done graphic design, prop making, video and film production (Need for Speed, Itsy Bitsy), book illustration (The Argent Syndrome, Lonely Luna’s Imaginarium) and comics (Cursed Creatures of the Night, Death to Malone).

If he is not writing, drawing or teaching, Micah splits his time and energy between being a father to his three beautiful children and self-publishing his books and comics.
