Are you looking for a casual afternoon to learn from local zine-makers, collectors, and embark on a shared experience of making a zine? Then join us for our upcoming workshop!
Theme: “place”
What does it mean to be in the same room, sharing space, returning to a place, experiencing a place for the first time, or coming back after a long time? How can one place hold memories, and what do we all share in common when we come together in a place that is familiar, or unfamiliar? What objects can describe us? How can we share international perspectives and build communities of resilience through our different experiences through a place?
Come as you are, as we share space to swap experiences, zines, and stories. No zine experience needed! Bring a zine if you’d like to swap, or make one in the workshop. We will provide materials to make a standard, A4, 8-page zine.
**** community zine will be scanned and distributed at the end of the workshop.

Schedule:
1:30pm- Doors Open
2pm: Open exchange from local creators about zine making, and their creative process
3-5pm: Workshop time: make an A4 zine, and have a chance to collaborate on a community zine
5-6pm: Share your zine, swap a zine, and network with other zine-making folks! (not required to participate in the workshop to join the networking portion!)
Cover fee: $100
