Zine-Making with Tulsa Girl Power: Hidden Heroines Edition

Join us for a community zine-making workshop designed to introduce, uplift, and creatively honor overlooked women in Oklahoma’s history. This free session welcomes participants of all ages and skill levels to learn about the women who shaped our state while creating a personal zine inspired by their stories, lessons, and impact.

We'll cover zine-making techniques, share creative prompts, and offer examples to help spark ideas. All materials will be provided, and you’ll leave with your own handmade zine to keep or share.

This workshop is supported by OVAC’s Grants for Artists program as part of the broader Hidden Heroines of Oklahoma project, which aims to celebrate community memory, amplify women’s histories, and expand access to creative tools for self-expression.
