Zine Club #1: Tracing Kampung Through Memory
About this Event
As young Singaporean Malays, how do you trace your kampung when your parents' physical kampung in Singapore no longer exists? Or if your kampung is far away in the countryside of Malaysia or Indonesia which you may never get to visit?
In this zine club for 'Balik Kampung: Young Malays Negotiating Home' , we are accompanied by zine contributors Izza Haziqah and Fairuz Jaafar as they share how they experience kampung life through their parents' memories and through mosque hopping respectively. Come with your stories of tracing your kampung.
