Playing Zills with Maleeka - Beginner
There are many rhythm combinations used in Middle Easter Music and finger cymbals can be used in a variety of patterns to accent the music in different ways. These workshops will focus on the more common rhythms and playing patterns. Beginners: Counting music, Zills Patterns, and Playing Tips Posture/Arms, and Hands position Basic Zills sounds: Ringing, dull ringing, clanking and tapping. Patterns: Singles/Roll, 3’s/Gallop/Longa, Baladi, Chiftetelli
What you will need for this class:
-Comfortable dance attire, that you will not trip or slip on. Zills.
