Jess Best writes songs that feel like a lucid dream — a vividly emotional place where reality bends but doesn’t break. Led by her curiosity for unusual combinations, and rooted in her dedication to the songwriting craft of her heroes, Jess’ melding of pop, rock and soul sounds are at their peak on her latest track, ‘Forgetfulness,’ an indie rock meditation on the erosion of memory and the persistent anxiety of remembering what you’ve tried to forget.

This is the first release off of her upcoming EP ‘am i your girl?,’ slated to be released in the fall of 2025.

Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area and now residing in Los Angeles, Zev has carved out a reputation as a sought-after drummer, showcasing his versatility across various musical genres both on stage and in the studio. He has graced the stages of prestigious venues like The Greek Theatre (LA), NPR TInydesk, Davies Symphony Hall, The SFJAZZ Center, Coachella, Bonnaroo, NewPort, The Fillmore, The Wiltern, the Troubadour, Yoshi's, and BlueWhale. His collaborations span a wide range of artists, including Laufey, Remi Wolf, Kristin Chenoweth, Sabrina Claudio, Bennie Maupin, Greg Osby, Regina Carter, Joe Lovano, David Binney, Logan Kane, Louis Cole, among others. Beyond performing, Zev contributes his talents to diverse projects, from engineering drums for his mentor James Gadson to composing and recording for the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra.Zev's educational background is equally impressive, holding a degree in Jazz Performance from the University of Southern California, where he studied under renowned musicians such as Peter Erskine, Roy McCurdy, Aaron Serfaty, and Vince Mendoza.
