Zero Gravity Eden | 21-22 Thierry Loa

Nel mese di gennaio, MEET ha inaugurato con ItalMesh l’installazione di reti metalliche e vegetali ZERO GRAVITY EDEN, opera permanente, simbolo del programma MEET the Nature. Ogni stagione porta un’installazione nuova, rinnovando il messag- gio di attenzione e sensibilità nei confronti dell’ecosistema. I pri- mi tre artisti selezionati per il programma MEET the Nature sono Maria Castellanos Vicente (Spagna), Thierry Loa (Québec) e Rasa Smite (Lettonia).

Mercoledì 3 aprile, alle ore 18.30, all’opera di Maria Castellanos Vicente ag- giungiamo un viaggio nell’Antropocene firmato da Thierry Loa, regista interdisci- plinare e creatore di contenuti per i nuovi media.

Sorvoliamo il mondo in un viaggio in VR: 21-22 CHINA e 21-22 USA offrono uno sguardo meditativo a 360° dai cieli della Cina e degli Stati Uniti, le due maggiori su- perpotenze mondiali.

Composti da scenari interamente reali girati sul posto, questi film immersivi rac- contano la storia del pianeta che l'uomo ha trasformato nel corso dei decenni: espan- sione urbana, distese di periferie, sviluppo industriale, giacimenti di petrolio, disastri climatici, territori naturali trasformati e molto altro ancora.

In January, MEET inaugurated with ItalMesh the ZERO GRAVITY EDEN wire mesh and plant installation, a permanent work that symbolises the MEET the Nature programme. Each se- ason brings a new installation, renewing the message of care and sensitivity towards the ecosystem. The first three artists selected for the MEET the Nature programme are Maria Castellanos Vicente (Spain), Thierry Loa (Québec) and Rasa Smite (Latvia).

On Wednesday 3 April, at 6.30 p.m., to the work of Maria Castellanos Vicente we add a journey through the Anthropocene by Thierry Loa, interdisciplinary filmmaker and content creator for new media.

Let's fly over the world on a VR journey: 21-22 CHINA and 21-22 USA offer a meditative 360° look from the skies over China and the US, the world's two biggest superpowers.
Composed of entirely real scenarios shot on location, these im- mersive films tell the story of the planet that man has transformed over the decades: urban sprawl, sprawling suburbs, industrial de- velopment, oil fields, climate disasters, transformed natural terri- tories and much more.
