Zentangle: Woodland Art Symbolism w/ Diana
Woodland Art Symbolism
When Norval Morrisseau first began painting, his intention was to re-introduce the Anishinaabe world view into the contemporary consciousness. The Ojibwa culture had been all but obliterated by the imposition of external governance and the influence of Christian churches. He painted the spiritual reality that had been the foundation of the Ojibwa life for thousands of years. Woodland art symbolism permeated his early paintings. We will use the tangle “Morrisseau” to create our own version into Zentangle® inspired art. Please bring your Zentangle® supplies.
