Zentangle Art Retreat

Join Laura Marks (CZT22), Jill Dailey (CZT26) and Cheryl Cianci (CZT6) for an in-person, full day art retreat in West Hartford, CT featuring a traditional warm up tile lesson by Cheryl Cianci, a colorful mushroom Zentangle class presented by Laura Marks and a bound watercolor and Zentangle enhanced journal project (that you will create from start to finish) presented by Jill Dailey. Learn some fun and creative journal assembly and painting techniques as well as new Zentangle patterns with us. All materials and supplies you need for each project will be provided to you at the event (you are welcome to bring along your favorite pens and/or supplies if you would like) and a full lunch (with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options) will be included as well. The event will be held at the Universalist Church of West Hartford in Fiske Hall which is located on the ground level of the church . This location is within walking distance to West Hartford Center and parking is included at the event site.

This retreat is a great opportunity to get to meet, mingle, create and relax with your local tangling and art journaling enthusiasts! The retreat is open to all participants regardless of experience or CZT certification.

Please be sure to fill out your lunch order when you register and make note of the substitutions and modifications available.

Info: Laura will get us started by coloring our tiles early so they will be dry to tangle upon later.

Info: Jill will guide us in constructing and painting the cover of our journal in advance so it will be dry to tangle and assemble later.

Info: Cheryl will teach a classic Zentangle pattern in black and white to get our tangling started.

Info: Lunch provided by Doro Marketplace-Gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options will be available to choose from.

Info: Laura will lead us in tangling our mushroom tile using a variety of tangles

Info: For our final project, Jill will lead us in the binding of our journal and demonstrate a few Zentangle patterns to add to your journal cover and work on prepping additional pages for future tangling and/or journaling
