Day 1 – Exploring Kanchanaburi and Floating Accommodation
8:00 AM: Depart from Bangkok
10:00 AM: Tiger Cave Temple – A serene Buddhist temple with beautiful views
11:00 AM: Lunch at Meena Cafe – A popular stop for its picturesque setting and delicious food, offering a taste of local cuisine.
1:00 PM: Krasae Cave & Railway – Visit the iconic train tracks by the cliffside, part of the historic Death Railway. It’s an evocative site.
3:30 PM: Boat transfer to floating accommodation – The peaceful setting on Srinakarin Dam will allow for relaxation and water activities.
4:00 PM: Arrival & rest – The perfect spot for unwinding and enjoying nature. This is also an excellent opportunity for leisurely water activities, such as kayaking or swimming.
5:30 PM: Dinner & sunset – A calming dinner overlooking the lake and sunset views sets the tone for the night.
• Meteor Shower – Watching the Geminids meteor shower under the clear night sky will be a highlight, offering a magical end to your first day.
Day 2 – Cultural Immersion and Return to Bangkok
6:00-7:30 AM: Yoga at sunrise – An uplifting start to the day, especially with the serene river backdrop.
7:30-8:00 AM: Food offerings to monks – A very special activity, as the monk will come by boat for the alms round, offering a unique and peaceful cultural experience.
8:00 AM: Breakfast – Time to enjoy the morning and breakfast.
10:00 AM: Check-out and return to the mainland by boat.
10:30 AM: Travel to Mallika R.E 124 – A retro town offering a glimpse into Siamese life during King Rama V’s reign. The atmosphere is immersive, and the historical context will give you a deeper understanding of Thai culture.
12:00 PM: Traditional Thai lunch buffet – A great chance to try a variety of local dishes.
3:30 PM: Return to Bangkok – After a full day of activities, you’ll head back to the city.
6:30-7:00 PM: Arrive back in Bangkok – The trip concludes.
General Notes:
