Zarzo Basket Willow Day Workshop

Great for beginners, choose to make either an incredibly sculptural round Zarzo or still striking but more practical rectangular Zarzo basket. Due to demand, for several years now I've been teaching these wonderful willow baskets that were developed by Danish basketmaker Ulla Misser.

DATES: Thursday 26th January. Thursday 23rd March.

Willow Day Workshops are suitable for beginners and those with existing willow weaving experience. Just bring along lots of enthusiasm and by the end of the day you will be taking home your basket!

Passionate about willow basketry and traditional craftsmanship professional designer – maker - teacher Sarah Le Breton concentrates on handcrafting work that marries heritage basket forms and traditional English techniques to create stylish products for modern living.

Based in Devon for over a decade Sarah has organised and taught her Willow Day Workshops throughout the South West enabling you to discover this wonderful craft form and create your own beautiful baskets.

COST:

DETAILS:

9.15 arrival for 9.30am start - 5.30pm finish (approximately). Maximum of 8 participants per day.  Tools provided. Venue - Chevithorne Village Hall Devon EX16 7PU (15 minutes from M5 junction 27)

LUNCH:

I’ve teamed up with the nearby amazing Lost Kitchen restaurant (www.lostkitchen.co.uk) who have created a special lunch menu for you of mezze salad freshly baked Focaccia homemade cake and a Luscombe drink. Lunch payable on the day by card or cash.
