This Spring I’m delighted to bring you an intensive training weekend in Manchester with Zara Dance – a powerhouse British/Egyptian bellydance star who has been taking the Cairo scene by storm!Zara is beloved in the bellydance community for her dynamic and empowering teaching style and her incredibly entertaining shows mixing authentic emotion with fun and spectacle – and also for sharing unique insights into the Egyptian dance scene through her “Zameena” online magazine, and her wildly popular online Zoom haflas.
This weekend will be a unique opportunity to study with Zara in depth, transforming your dancing with authentic music and styling straight from the streets of Cairo, as well as professional stagecraft secrets to let your own unique personality shine as you captivate your audience!

Saturday 1st of April - "Egyptian Experience"
10:30-12:30 Dancing to the songs of Abdel Halim Hafez – “the dark nightingale” (open level)
13:30-16:30 Mahraganat – Zara’s signature fun & dynamic Egyptian street style (open level)
Evening Dinner, show and party – featuring Zara and special guests
Sunday 2nd of April - Performers’ masterclasses
10:30-12:30 Making an entrance – real-life stagecraft skills for your majency (for solo performers)
13:30-15:30 Audience engagement masterclass – entertain like a pro! (for solo performers)
Note – Sunday masterclasses don’t require a specific technique level, but they will be geared towards dancers who currently perform solo, or want to in future!

Until the 20th of February, book the full weekend including 9 hours of classes and our fabulous Saturday evening party with show and dinner for just £165!
Full price for a weekend pass after the 20th of Feb will be £195.
One-day packages & single workshops will go on sale after early bird bookings close.

Workshop venue – MEA Central school, Lytham Road, Manchester M14 6PL. Free onsite parking available, and a short walk from Levenshulme train station & the 192 bus route from Manchester city centre or Stockport.
Evening party venue – La Gitane (private function room at Cafe Istanbul), 79-81 Bridge St, Manchester M3 2RH.
