Experience a unique Binaural 4D Sound Experience by talented Canadian/ Persian composer & violinist ZAMEEN-A.

Cry [No More] is the debut album from artist/violinist ZAMEEN-A; a concept-driven project exploring the complex emotional state of "ecstatic suffering" through the synthesis of moody, deconstructed violin alongside the progressive electronic textures of ambient,noise, and techno production.

Binaural mixes only work through headphone's by sending different frequencies to each ear. While stereo mixing allows us to pan sounds left to right, and we use tricks of space and proximity to move things forward and back on a sound stage (i.e. more like watching a band), binaural sound immerses us in the sound, with panning available for left, right and forward, as well as behind and around us!

Zameena-A is a half Canadian based poet from a Pakistani background who is a violinist who creates this stunning drone landscapes that pull from a deep Persian tradition and vamp it up for the 21st century. With a music that is this rich in mystery and tradition she perfectly plays with the nuances to create a hypnotic blend of sensual sounds that are complicated by her books of poetry.

‘I am a violinist/musician unearthing experimental sounds and the fusion of world styles; creating immersive soundscapes that transcend, hypnotize, and inspire.’

Playing since childhood, she has a classically trained background from the Royal Conservatory of Music, playing violin for orchestras in countries from Russia to Japan. It was breaking away from classical that saw her embrace the possibilities of the form studying Persian violin and her exploration of electronic production became the mediums in which she chose to ‘express and poeticize feeling and movement. My vision as an artist is beyond the five senses; sculpting transformative compositions that are rich in depth, texture, mood, and space.’

I have composed string arrangements for artists spanning various style such as hip hop, dubstep, neo-classical, and world fusion. The projects that I am hired for are indicative of the scope of my creative vision and the dedication I have to producing innovative sounds.

There will be lights set up for the show. Feel free to take videos and photos and but please do not use any flash photography, since it will take away from the lighting experience.
