BIO:
"Zambi String Band is a Colorado string band collective with an open-door lineup and a single North Star: build a locally-focused concept to last. Intentionally designed to flex from an acoustic duo to full pickers’ circle, ZSB can slide between Grateful Dead-leaning Americana, hard-driving bluegrass, classic and outlaw country, psych-jam detours, and ‘90s covers without feeling like a costume change. The common thread is feel - tight rhythm, strong harmonies, and an instinct for where the room wants to go next.
The band is not chasing a touring calendar. The goal is longevity. Keep building a like-minded community of Denver-area players who can plug in, lock in fast, and make a night feel effortless. Some shows lean song-forward and rootsy. Others stretch out and breathe. Either way, ZSB treats the stage like a shared table: welcoming, loose, and fully committed.
“Zambi” is an homage to the spirit around Colonel Bruce Hampton: a little sideways on purpose, never precious, and always in service of the music."
