Zachary Gossett leads a sextet presenting music by Geri Allen and Andrew Hill. Geri and Andrew are two beloved artists who have deeply influenced the majority of the well-known pianists and luminaries of the last forty years, yet are relatively unknown outside of musician circles, and are seldom covered within university education. These pianist's prolific output deftly wove together a deep historicity with an explorative approach, an intensely personal sound, and virtuosic facility on the instrument."
