Based in Burlington, Vermont, the band delivers faithful yet fresh renditions of classic Dead tunes, blending precision musicianship with exploratory jams that capture both the legacy and the living energy of the music.

Home grown right here in Vermont, Silvan Pulse (formerly The Steppes) are a 5-piece band playing wildly creative rock fusion originals alongside a range of eclectic covers. In 2025, this rebirth of the band is exploring even broader musical terrain with new singer and drummer Pam McCann. Their energy and originality, diverse instrumentation and originals make for a singular sound unlike anything else in VT.
