"The Why":
Zach Davis possessed a burning love for music as both a musician and fan. Zach had always displayed empathy and an attitude of kindness in his life. A desire to be of service to others, adhered to as he navigated his journey to sobriety and thus began the rigorous training for a career in nursing.
These truths, along with the open arm embrace I received at the beginning of my own grief journey upon Zach’s untimely death in December of 2020 prove a sturdy purpose to do some good things that can only be accomplished “in community”...like having a great concert in a beautiful art deco theater with 3 (so far) great live bands, enlightening speakers during set changes and some engaging fundraising activities as you walk into the magnificent historic (but remodeled) old theater.
“The Zach Fest ‘24 Community Benefit Concert” at Redwood City’s Club Fox on Sunday, April 28, 2024, begins with doors open at 5pm. The music starts pumping at 6pm.
Not only does this event promise to be an uplifting live music experience, but will also ultimately serve to “be of service” to two truly effective non profit organizations serving the peninsula, The Tim Griffith Foundation and Kara - Grief Support.
