Newham Poetry Group is delighted to host the launch of London poet Yvonne Murray's book.
Her collection, "Pain in the mask" is a touching and powerful journal of the most challenging time, 2020 COVID-19 health global crisis. Yvonne has, beautifully, captured the emotions of trauma, loneliness, love, fear, loss and reflection.

Biography for Yvonne Murray:
Newly self published author of ‘Pain in the Mask’ written during the covid pandemic where wearing a mask was part of our uniform. So, if you wanted to hide from yourself, this made it easier. Working home-alone was the time to take off the invisible mask and come off mute.
Yvonne is quoted as saying: the therapeutic ingredients in words, verse, stanzas – just delicious©.
