About this Event
esea contemporary is pleased to co-host an exclusive Lunar New Year celebration lunch for esea ArtClub members with Little Yellow Rice Co. Join us as we welcome the New Year by preparing yusheng, the Prosperity Toss salad, before sitting down to share a meal together.
Yusheng — A Lunar New Year Prosperity Toss
To mark the arrival of the Lunar New Year in 2026, we gather to share yusheng, a festive dish originating from Malaysia and Singapore, traditionally enjoyed as a gesture of renewal and collective hope. Like many celebratory foods across East and Southeast Asia, yusheng brings together ingredients imbued with symbolic meaning and intention.
Composed of finely sliced vegetables and dressed in a fragrant plum sauce, the dish is as vibrant in colour as it is in significance. Each ingredient is introduced with a spoken wish for prosperity, abundance, and progress in the year ahead. The communal act of tossing the salad with chopsticks transforms the meal into a shared ritual—one that celebrates optimism, togetherness, and the promise of the year to come.
Booking is required to reserve your spot for this special celebration!
