Have you ever thought about why we make pancakes on Shrove Tuesday, or where the concept of Christmas originated from? Well join us fror our September Sunday Assembly to find out!We'll be joined by history teacher Alex Martin who will talk us through the origin of some of the quirkiest English celebrations; from Beltane (May Day) to Pancake Day and the difference of Christmas before and after it was taken over by the Christian faith.
In addition to this interesting talk, we'll be singing along to some fabulous pop songs, then heading into the lovely Showroom cafe bar for a catch up over coffee and cake (other food and drink available)!
