Join us for a very special Norse Yuletide New Moon Celebration! I know it's right before the holiday, hope you can make it!PLEASE NOTE: This is a Druid ritual and not a traditional Norse ritual, we will be honoring Odin, Loki, Thor, Jord, Heimdall, and Freya together. We are a diverse group of likeminded people, bigotry and racism will not be tolerated.
We will also be honoring the Three Kindreds (The Ancestors, Nature Spirits, and Deities) through verbal recognition and offerings and to make personal intentions for the new moon.
Timing:
Note: If weather permitted, we will hold part of the ritual outdoors so please bring something warm to wear!
We will gather starting at 7:00 PM and our ritual will begin at 7:20 PM. Try not to arrive after that time if possible, but if you do please enter quietly and make yourself comfortable. Our ritual will last 45-60 minutes depending on participation.
Location:
Sometimes GPS sends people to a wrong location. We are on Going Street (not down an alley!). Look for a gray and white house with a wire and wood post fence and a dark blue Toyota 4Runner in the driveway.
What to Bring:
Yourself! You and your open mind and any personal offerings you would like to offer to the Norse gods as well as ffferings to the Three Kindreds
are items you would leave behind such as food, drink, or flowers. You may also bring items to temporarily place items on the alter to charge with the new moon ritual energy that you would take with you when you leave. We will provide items for offerings if needed as well.
Consent:
There will be multiple ways for you to participate. Participation is always optional, and you do not have to engage in any aspect of the ritual that does not resonate for you. Consent and courtesy among participants is also required.
Covid and Kitty Friends:
The indoor space is not huge, and the windows will likely be shut due to weather. Masks are optional. We have a few kitty friends who will be in another room, but take note if you are highly allergic.
Food and drink:
We will have some light snacks and hot drinks before and after the ritual, but feel free to bring items for yourself or to share.
